Since 2017 I've built a smart-technology group spanning surveillance, audio-visual, solar, networking and access control — plus independent ventures in interiors, travel, growth and AI software. Ten brands, four industries, one playbook.

Along the way I've applied AI across all of them: to operations, marketing, delivery, support and reporting. Some of it transformed the economics. Some of it was a waste of money. I know which is which because I paid for both.

And I don't just apply AI — I build it. MonkFlow develops and resells AI software, including MonkScroll and CurtainCraft, both of which started as problems inside my own companies.

Upcurve — AI Readiness

The job market changed its rules while your child was preparing for the old ones.

Most AI education for students is the same course handed to everyone: here are the tools, go use them. That's not guidance, it's a list.

Upcurve starts with an assessment — aptitude, interests, and how the student actually thinks — then maps them to a specific track and the AI skills that track will genuinely require. A student heading into design needs a different foundation than one heading into finance.

How I build

Find the constraint. Every business has one thing limiting growth. It's rarely the thing the founder thinks it is.

Design the process first. Automating a broken process gets you broken results, faster.

Apply AI where it pays. Specific tasks, measurable before-and-after. Not everywhere, and not because it's impressive.

Train the person. A system nobody owns is a document nobody reads.

Hand it over. If it still needs you, it isn't finished.
